Back in August we wrote a post when well-known basketball player Jimmy King was arrested for failing to pay child support. At the time, the former "Fab Five" star was facing a felony charge, which could have resulted in jail time. However, on during pretrial on Friday, King paid $17,248 in back child support, and the case against him was subsequently dismissed.
A federal grand jury recently indicted Andre Rison, a former NFL wide receiver, for failing to pay child support. The 44-year-old is accused of owing thousands of dollars in support for a child that lived in another state, at least at the time that the payments were due.

A mother is facing ten felony charges for failure to pay child support. At this point she owes more than $50,000, and if convicted on all ten of the charges she could face more than 23 years in prison.
