It seems that Daniel Baldwin may find himself in a courtroom battle as his wife — who recently filed for a legal separation from the 51-year-old actor — also requested to have full custody of the couple’s two small children. This move comes just months after the actor had originally filed for a divorce and restraining order against his 41-year-old wife, claiming that she is a danger to him and the children.
The couple’s hardships date back to at least July, when Daniel Baldwin had filed for the restraining order and the divorce. At that time he said that his wife was prone to violent outbursts fueled by alcohol. However, those petitions were later dropped, and a month later Joanne Baldwin said the couple was trying to make their marriage work.
However, now Joanne Baldwin is singing a different tune, and wants not only custody of the children — ages 2 and 3 — but also wants $4,000 a month in child support. She is also requesting for Daniel Baldwin to take out a $1 million life insurance policy. She says the life insurance policy would be a benefit for the couple’s children.
Kids aside, the 41-year-old also wants any furniture that she had acquired before their marriage, and also wants half of her husband’s earnings, including $100,000 the actor both recently earned, and is still yet to earn.
Looking to the future of this divorce case, there is the possibility that things can become quite contentious, especially since there were previous domestic violence allegations against the 41-year-old wife. For Daniel Baldwin, he could end up brining up fears related to a safe environment for his children regarding the accusations or alcohol use and violence.
